A PRESTONPANS man is facing a jail sentence after he admitted throwing a knife at two police officers.
David Trench threw the blade at PCs Charles Herriot and Sarah Neilson during an incident at his home on the town’s High Street.
Trench, 41, shouted, swore and brandished a knife at the two officers while making racial remarks in November last year.
The offender admitted both charges when he appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last week. He was told to be of good behaviour and to return to court for sentencing in August.
Trench admitted assaulting the two PCs by throwing a knife at them at his home on November 26 last year.
He also pleaded guilty to behaving in a threatening or abusive manner by shouting, swearing, brandishing a knife and uttering racial remarks during the same incident.
