A MAN suffered "serious but not life-threatening" injuries in a car crash yesterday evening (Wednesday).

The crash took place on the road between Musselburgh and Prestonpans.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police in East Lothian are investigating following a road traffic collision on the B1348 near to Musselburgh.

“The incident happened at about 9.25pm on Wednesday, February 20, when a silver Saab 9-5 was involved in a collision.

“The 39-year-old male driver sustained serious but not life-threatening injuries and was taken to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for treatment.

“Inquiries into the full circumstances are currently ongoing. 

"Anyone with information is asked to contact officers at Musselburgh Police Station on 101, quoting incident number 3907 of February 20, or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
