A FOUR-FIGURE sum of cash was stolen from Dunbar Post Office during an early-hours break-in.
The business, on the town’s High Street, was targeted early Sunday morning before re-opening on Tuesday afternoon.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: “Police in East Lothian are investigating following a break-in and theft to a business premises in Dunbar.
“The incident happened at the premises in the High Street at around 3am on Sunday. Entry was forced and a four-figure sum of cash stolen.
“Inquiries are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0896, or report this to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
