A MAN, 38, was due to appear in court today (Wednesday) after allegedly stealing fuel in the early hours of yesterday morning (Tuesday).
Police were called out to Whittingehame Drive in Haddington when a member of the public saw a man acting suspiciously beneath an HGV.
When officers attended, the man was allegedly found to be removing fuel from the vehicle and was subsequently arrested and charged.
Chief Inspector Steven Duncan, Local Area Commander for East Lothian, said “This is a fine example of local residents reporting suspicious behaviour.”
