TWO men have been arrested in connection with a series of motorbike thefts, which stretch back almost a year, across central Scotland.
Homes in Aberlady and Musselburgh, as well as in West Lothian and Fife, were targeted between November 19 last year and September 18.
Motocross bikes and biking attire were stolen during the incidents.
Officers from Musselburgh’s community investigation unit carried out intelligence-led searches in Dalkeith today (Thursday), where they recovered motocross-related items.
Constable Craig Dilworth, from the CIU, said police had been working with the motocross community, who provided “valuable information and expert insight relating to VIN locations, documentation and the sale and movement of bikes”.
He added: "Tackling acquisitive crime remains one of our top priorities and whenever such offences are reported to us, we will conduct a thorough investigation to identify those responsible and bring them to justice."
