A BAND from Tennessee will play alongside youngsters at an East Lothian primary school this evening (Monday).

The Midnight Run band will play at Macmerry Primary School, supported by young musicians from the school.

The concert has been organised by pupils in primary 6 and 7, overseen by school chaplain, Robin Hill, and underwritten by Gladsmuir Parish Church.

The band is not the first from the USA to visit the school – the Corn Potato String Band were a huge hit when they performed there in 2016.

Now, The Midnight Run are stopping off at the school as part of their tour of Scotland.

Concert tickets – £5 per person and under-12s go free when accompanied by an adult – are available from the school office.

Doors open at 6.30pm, with the concert starting at 7pm.
