The crash took place on the A199
A FIFTY-FIVE-YEAR-OLD man has been charged following a crash outside Tranent.
Police are investigating the collision between a Ford Focus and an Audi A3 on the A199, near the Birsley Garage, at about 6.10pm on Monday.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: “The female driver of the A3 and the male passenger of the Focus were taken to hospital as a precaution and a report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
