A 63-YEAR-OLD driver has been arrested and charged following a three vehicle accident east of Longniddry yesterday afternoon.
Police confirmed the man was arrested at the scene after two cars and a van were involved in a collision as they were travelling eastwards on the B1377 Longniddry to Spittal road, near to the junction for Coates and Huntington.
Several people were treated at the scene for minor injuries and the road was closed for a short period after the incident which happened shortly after 4.30pm.
A police spokesperson said: "A 63-year-old man was charged in connection with road traffic offences and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal."
