THE New Year started with a brrrr for hundreds of brave East Lothian residents as they took to the water.
In North Berwick, Dunbar, Port Seton and Musselburgh there were loony dooks and dips as 2018 got underway.
And while some wore fancy dress and colourful onesies, others took the plunge in bathing suits and shorts.
The annual New Year's Day swims raise thousands of pounds for charity each year and make it a memorable start to the year.
