PEOPLE are being warned not to be tempted by a 'suspicious' deal in the run up to Christmas after phones worth thousands of pounds were stolen.
Two iPhones worth £1600 have been stolen from a shop on Musselburgh High Street.
Police are warning anyone offered the phones for sale to contact them immediately as they hunt the thieves.
The thefts happened at Replay It store on Thursday around 12.25pm.
Two male suspects are being sought in connection with the stolen phones, both were described as around 5ft 8in and medium build, with short dark hair.
One had a small beard while the other had some facial hair.
The first suspect was wearing a black jacket and a grey jumper, the second was wearing a black and grey hoodie.
Local Community Inspector Andrew Harborow said: “We are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time.
“Similarly if anyone is offered an iPhone for sale in suspicious circumstances, we would be keen to hear from them.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact officers on 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 quoting incident number 1631 of 14th December.”
