AN INVESTIGATION is under way after three motocross off-road bikes were stolen from a business in the early hours of the morning.
The theft happened at Coastline Autos, on the A198 east of Meadowmill, between 12.30am and 2am on Sunday.
Two of the bikes are orange KTM dirt bikes which are noticeably loud and another is a blue Yamaha dirt bike.
These bikes are not registered and when stolen were not displaying any registration plates.
Community Inspector Andrew Harborow said: "There have been some sightings of similar off-road bikes in Loanhead, Midlothian and Gilmerton, south-east Edinburgh.
"Anyone with information about the whereabouts of these bikes is asked to please get in touch."
Anyone with information that can assist officers is asked to call 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously quoting incident 3040 of 6th August.
