TWO 12-year-old boys have been charged after a 15-year-old was racially abused and bottles hurled at him as he walked home from school.
The youngsters were arrested following the incident in Cockenzie High Street (pictured below) last month.
Police said their teenage victim was followed home from school by youths who threw bottles and made racially abusive comments.
The bottles did not strike the 15-year-old during the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Two 12-year-old boys have been charged after a 15-year-old male was racially abused in Port Seton on Wednesday 14th December.
"Both will be reported to the Children's Reporter."
