NORTH Berwick is among the most booked Scottish towns for the New Year period, according to holiday home rental giant, holidaylettings.co.uk.
The town is among the top five most booked destinations in Scotland for the period between Boxing Day and January 2, alongside Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aviemore & Cairngorms and Inverness.
Saskia Welman, of holidaylettings.co.uk, says that the figures present a great opportunity for home owners who might not have thought of letting out their home during the festive period.
She said: "Renting out your home whilst away on holiday yourself or when visiting friends and family this New Year is a great way to earn some extra income.
"It's a secure and simple process to let out your house and you can even get your property up on a holiday home rental site as early as today, earning you income to help cover your own holiday costs.
Renting a two-bedroom house in North Berwick over the period will cost £817, while a four-bedroom house in the town will cost about £1,135.
