A COUNTY road closed by flood damage has been reopened to cars and light vehicles only.
A flash flood ripped up nearly 30 metres of road surface and sent boulders crashing onto the B6355 Gifford to Cranshaws road on Wednesday evening.
East Lothian Council and Scottish Borders Council united to repair the damage which straddled their boundaries, stretching from Whiteadder Reservoir to Redstone Rigg.
The damaged road is one of the main routes for people travelling to the Audio Soup music festival at Cranshaws this weekend.
East Lothian Council said the road has been cleared of debris and is now open to cars and light vehicles but remains unsuitable for HGV vehicles.
A spokesperson said: "Drivers are urged to exercise caution as areas of surface water remain."
