ONE of Europe’s top bluegrass bands is going to be performing in Longniddry Parish Church as part of a Scottish tour.
Dutch trio Red Herring are touring the country next month on a visit sponsored by the City of Rotterdam.
They will play a concert at the church on Sunday, September 20 – with profits raised going to charity.
As part of the church’s newly launched Home and Away stewardship project, the funds raised from the concert will be split between supporting dementia care in Longniddry and health servies in Malawi.
The Rev Dr Robin Hill, minister, said: “It’s going to be a fabulous night of music in Longniddry.
“Red Herring are a great band whose music will strike a chord with people of all ages.” Tickets, priced £5 each, are on sale now from Longniddry Parish Church and from Longniddry Dental Practice.
