PLANS to build 35 new homes at Inglis Farm in Cockenzie have been lodged with East Lothian Council.
The proposed new build has been submitted by Hart Builders and East Lothian Housing Association.
The land would extend housing on The Avenue across from Cockenzie Primary School playing fields.
The plans include 27 new houses, as well as eight flats, and provide space for a toddlers play area The land is described as overgrown with foliage, with an existing well-established tree line running along the B6371.
Hart Builders is proposing to build 35 new affordable housing units, a mixture of two-storey flats and two-storey terraced housing, with 100 per cent car parking and a central landscaped area with a toddlers play area.
The one-bedroom flats are described as cottage-style, while the remaining terraced houses would be a mixture of two and three-bedroom homes.
The housing would be taken over by East Lothian Housing Association on completion.
