THREE East Lothian rugby players celebrated lifting the Millom Sevens in Cumbria recently.

Haddington full-back James Ferguson was joined in the Bovril Boys invitational side by ex-Red Euan Bowen, one of the co-founders of the team, and Dylan Russell, who is from Haddington.

The trio and their team-mates were on top form throughout the competition as they conceded only two tries en route to lifting the trophy.

Victory was a first success for the Bovril Boys since the team was formed three years ago, and their win has seen them invited to another Cumbrian 7s.

They will take part in the Wigton 7s on Sunday, before jetting off to the internationally-renowned Stockholm 10s next month.
