COUNTY golf ace Callum Hill returned home last week, and brought his Oregon State team-mates with him.

Hill, who was among the field for the Scottish Open at Gullane last year, returned to the county for an eight-day tour with the university, where he is starting his senior year.

The team, known as the Beavers, stayed with Callum's parents Tom and Emma at their North Berwick Golf Lodge bed and breakfast.

His parents even flew the Oregon State University flag outside the B&B during the team's stay.

Their trip was organised to contest a match with Stanford University, which they narrowly lost at Kingsbarns Golf Club on Sunday.

A day previously, they took in Hearts Premiership match with Hamilton at Tynecastle on Saturday, and Hill thanked the club on social media.

He tweeted: "Thanks for a great day @JamTarts!

"Always love a day at Tynecastle, and it was pretty special day for the team."

Earlier this week, the team played a squad from North Berwick Golf Club and Tantallon Golf Club at North Berwick West Links.

They also played Gullane's number one course, and visited the old course at St Andrews.
