A STUNNING final round of 64 helped Grant Forrest to €119,057.87 and third place at the acciona Open de Espana on Sunday.
The county golfer has enjoyed an impressive run of form on the DP World Tour and finished on the podium in Madrid.
Forrest, of Pencaitland, scored 70 and 71 over the opening two days to make the cut.
And he was in stunning form over the weekend as he scored 69 and a final round seven-under-par 64 to finish third.
That saw him alongside Sean Crocker, Joe Dean, Tommy Fleetwood, David Puig and Jens Fahrbring.
The six golfers finished four shots behind the home duo of Jon Rahm and Angel Hidalgo, who finished locked together on 14-under-par.
In the end, it was 26-year-old Hidalgo who won his maiden event on the second play-off hole.
Forrest is currently competing in the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.
