LEAGUE action returns this afternoon (Saturday) as all six of East Lothian’s sides look for three points.
There is an all-East Lothian affair in the top flight of the East of Scotland Football League (EoSFL) as Haddington Athletic welcome Dunbar United.
At the same time, Musselburgh Athletic make an immediate return to Penicuik Athletic having played each other in the Scottish Cup last weekend.
Preston Athletic will have Stevie McLeish in the dugout for the first time as they travel to Whitehill Welfare in the First Division.
In the Third Division, Ormiston Primrose look to get back to winning ways with a trip to Newburgh.
Meanwhile, in the Scottish Lowland Football League (SLFL), Tranent host Civil Service Strollers.
Match of the Day
Haddington Athletic v Dunbar United
East of Scotland Football League Premier Division
Kick-off 2.30pm
THREE points are up for grabs as Haddington Athletic host Dunbar United at Millfield.
Both clubs will be keen to get three points on the board after inconsistent starts to the campaign.
Haddington bounced back from their Scottish Cup exit to Auchinleck Talbot with three points against Edinburgh University.
Meanwhile, Dunbar United progressed in the cup with a win at Bonnyton Thistle but then went down to defeat to Whitburn.
Tranent v Civil Service Strollers
Scottish Lowland Football League
Kick-off 3pm
JONNY Stewart will be looking to make it two wins out of two as Tranent take on Civil Service Strollers.
The former Bonnyrigg Rose midfielder was confirmed as permanent boss at Tranent ahead of the victory over Gala Fairydean Rovers.
Now, he will be looking to build on that when the club from the capital visit.
Tranent have picked up 13 points compared to eight by Civil Service Strollers and will be looking to move up the table.
Penicuik Athletic v Musselburgh Athletic
East of Scotland Football League Premier Division
Kick-off 2.30pm
SEVEN days have passed since Musselburgh Athletic ended Penicuik’s Scottish Cup journey.
A 1-0 win in Midlothian was enough to help Liam Burns and his side to set up a tie with Darvel.
Now, they will return to Montgomery Park looking for a repeat result as they aim to remain top of the Premier Division.
One defeat from the opening six games has been a good return for the Honest Toun team, who were runners-up last season.
Whitehill Welfare v Preston Athletic
East of Scotland Football League First Division
Kick-off 2.30pm
A NEW Preston Athletic manager takes on a former Preston Athletic manager this afternoon.
Stevie McLeish’s first game in charge of the Pennypit club takes them to Whitehill Welfare, who will have Jack Lynch in charge.
Preston sit third bottom of the First Division table but with 25 games remaining there is plenty of time for things to change.
Three points would lift them out of the drop zone and above their opponents.
Newburgh v Ormiston Primrose
East of Scotland Football League Third Division
Kick-off 2.30pm
INCONSISTENCY has disrupted Ormiston Primrose’s bid for an immediate return to the Second Division.
Defeat to Hawick Royal Albert was followed by a draw against Edinburgh CFC.
Now, they travel to Fife looking to get back to winning ways against Newburgh.
Their hosts sit second bottom of the table and Ormiston will be keen to get three points on the board.
