TRANENT have parted company with manager Ian Little – just six games after he guided them to cup glory.
The Belters made the announcement on Tuesday afternoon, just hours before the club welcomed Bo’ness United for their third league fixture of the season.
Former Livingston and Alloa Athletic midfielder Little, who was only appointed on August 25 last year, leaves the club just two games into the new Scottish Lowland Football League (SLFL) season.
A club statement on social media reads: “Tranent Football Club can confirm this afternoon, that, after discussions with manager Ian Little, it was mutually agreed that his duties as first-team manager would terminate with immediate effect.

“The board expresses its gratitude to Ian for his hard work and commitment since joining the club, and also thanks him for leading the club to its first domestic trophy in tier five of Scottish football.
“The process of appointing a new manager will begin in the forthcoming days.
“In the interim, Johnny Stewart and Matthew Thomson will take on first-team duties until a successor is appointed.”
Little, who previously managed Berwick Rangers, took the helm at Foresters Park following the departure of Max Christie after 10 games of last season.
Fifty-year-old Little guided Tranent to fifth spot in the SLFL and also to a memorable Lowland League Cup success where they defeated league champions East Kilbride on penalties after a 2-2 draw.
Tonight's game against Bo'ness United kicks off at 7.45pm.
