THREE East Lothian sides have progressed to the second round of the Scottish Cup after wins on Saturday.
Tranent, Musselburgh Athletic and Dunbar United all got their names in the hat for the next round.
Ormiston Primrose were also victorious in the Second Division, while Preston Athletic lost in the First Division.
Tranent 4 Hutchison Vale 1
Tranent set up a Scottish Cup tie at home to East Kilbride with a comfortable 4-1 at home to Hutchison Vale.
After a tricky first half, Tranent found themselves behind at half time with the visitors striking shortly before the interval.
But after a lacklustre first half, Tranent came out fighting in the second 45 minutes, drawing level through an own goal just three minutes into the half.
Cammy Ross then pulled Tranent ahead on 52 minutes with a fine header from close range.
Ross would find the net again just two minutes later netting from close range after neat build up play.
With the game now under control, Tranent looked comfortable and the fourth inevitably came on 75 minutes when Jackson Mylchreest netted with his head to finish the game off.
The reward is a home tie against East Kilbride in the second round.
Tranent return to Lowland League action on Saturday with a trip to Albion Rovers.
Musselburgh Athletic 1 Gretna 1 (Musselburgh win 4-3 on penalties)
Musselburgh Athletic held their nerve to progress in the cup on penalties after a 1-1 draw at home to Lowland League side Gretna 2008.
After a tight first half, Gretna took the lead on 49 minutes to silence the home crowd.
But Musselburgh were level less than 10 minutes later when Jordan Smith hammered home the equaliser.
The game was tight through the 90 minutes, and equally competitive in extra time.
Some strong penalties were taken by both sides with the penalty scores 3-3 from six spot kicks.
But some goalkeeping heroics from Daniel Laing proved the difference, with the Musselburgh keeper saving two penalties to see them through.
A home tie against League Two side Clyde will be an extra challenge for Musselburgh in the second round.
The county side return to Premier Division action on Saturday with a trip to Kinnoull.
Edinburgh University 2 Dunbar United 3
Dunbar United made it a hat-trick of county sides in the draw for round two of the Scottish Cup with a 3-2 win away to Edinburgh University.
The visitors found themselves a goal down when Joe Aitken scored on 37 minutes, but they were soon level thanks to a Sean Stewart strike before half time.
Taylor Hendry would put Dunbar ahead on 67 minutes with a good finish before Dean Whitson headed home a third on 71 minutes.
A late Lewis Hendry goal on 81 minutes ensured a nervy end to the game for Dunbar, but they did well to hold on for the win.
They will host League Two side East Fife in the second round.
League action returns on Saturday as they host Luncarty in the Premier Division.
Newtongrange Star 2 Preston Athletic 0
Preston Athletic were on the receiving end of a 2-0 away defeat to Newtongrange Star in the First Division.
The hosts were ahead on 36 minutes from a free-kick, before making it 2-0 with half an hour to play from a close range header.
Preston looked to get back into the game but could not find the net.
The county side are seventh in the table and host Rosyth on Saturday.
Ormiston Primrose 2 Edinburgh College 1
Ormiston Primrose recorded a vital 2-1 win at home to Edinburgh College in the Second Division.
Chris Hogg and Charlie Wilson were the scorers for Ormiston against their in-form opponents.
Ormiston remain 15th in the table and host Edinburgh South on Saturday.
The capital side are three points clear of Ormiston in 10th place.
Haddington Athletic were not in action at the weekend, but will visit Glenrothes in the Premier Division on Saturday.
