JUST three of East Lothian’s senior football teams are in action this afternoon (Saturday).
However, two of the contests will have a major say in terms of how the leagues look next season.
In the First Division, Dunbar United travel to Leith Athletic knowing they could be crowned league champions or find themselves knocked off top spot.
Preston Athletic visit Dunipace hoping to end the season on a high.
Then, in the Second Division, Ormiston Primrose welcome Craigroyston in a contest likely to have a big impact on who is relegated.
Each game kicks off at 2.30pm.
Match of the Day
Ormiston Primrose v Craigroyston
East of Scotland Football League Second Division
Ormiston Primrose last five games: LLWWW
A RELEGATION six-pointer takes place at New Recreation Park as both Craigroyston and Ormiston Primrose battle to avoid the drop.
Richie Weir’s men had edged out of the relegation zone with three positive results against Hawick Royal Albert, Thornton Hibs and Newburgh.
However, victory for Craigroyston earlier this week saw them put Ormiston back into the bottom three.
A win for the Capital club would relegate Ormiston while any other result would see the battle to avoid the drop go to the last day.
The reverse fixture finished 1-1 and it could be another close contest.
Dunipace v Preston Athletic
East of Scotland Football League First Division
Preston Athletic last five games: LDLWL
AN ULTIMATELY disappointing season for both Dunipace and Preston Athletic nears its conclusion this afternoon.
Both teams would have hoped to have been challenging for promotion but have spent the majority of the campaign in mid-table.
An inconsistent run of form has left the Pennypit side in the bottom half of the First Division table.
A win could see them edge back into the top half but they will be up against a Dunipace side who won 5-0 on their visit to Prestonpans.
Leith Athletic v Dunbar United
East of Scotland Football League First Division
Dunbar United last five games: DDDWW
JUST a single point separates Dunbar United and Glenrothes at the top of the First Division with only 180 minutes of action left to play.
The Seasiders head to a Leith Athletic side not quite mathematically safe from the threat of relegation on the penultimate day of the season.
The destination of the title has been in the hands of both Dunbar and Glenrothes at times this season and it looks like it could go down to the last day.
Dunbar were 4-1 winners over their opposition before Christmas and will be hoping for a win and a favour from Whitehill Welfare, who take on Glenrothes.
