WHITBURN Juniors can officially be crowned champions when they visit Ormiston this evening (Wednesday).
The West Lothian side sit six points clear of St Andrews United at the top of the East of Scotland Football League (EoSFL) Second Division.
The Fife side have an inferior goal difference and would need to cause a 19-goal swing and hope Whitburn do not pick up a single point in their remaining four games to overhaul them at the top of the standings.
However, Ormiston Primrose also have a need for points as they look to stave off the threat of relegation.
Richie Weir’s men sit one point behind Craigroyston at the bottom of the table and know any kind of positive result could prove crucial in their bid to play Second Division football next season.
The contest at New Recreation Park kicks off at 7.30pm.
