STEFAN Krawiec has been named in the British squad for the European Junior Swimming Championships this summer.

A 34-strong squad has been selected for the international competition, which takes place in Serbia between July 4 and 9.

The annual competition showcases the best up-and-coming talent on the continent for athletes born primarily between 2005 and 2009.

The team will be looking to build on a successful set of performances in last year’s competition, which saw the group earn 11 medals and valuable international experience.

Team East Lothian member Krawiec has been included in the squad.

He started swimming lessons at Tranent’s Loch Centre as a nine-year-old before going on to join Tranent Amateur Swimming Club.
