MAX Christie has returned to Tranent Juniors for a second spell as manager.

The former Stenhousemuir and Alloa midfielder has succeeded Colin Nish, who parted company with the club on Sunday.

Tranent’s season has already finished after they lost 2-1 to East Kilbride in the Lowland League Cup on Saturday afternoon.

Now, Christie, who managed the Belters between 2017 and 2019 before leaving for Bo’ness United, will take the helm for the club’s second season in the Scottish Lowland Football League.

A statement on the club’s social media said: “The club are delighted to announce Max Christie as the new Tranent FC manager.

“Max managed the team back in season 2018 before leaving to take up the vacant manager’s post at Bo’ness United.

“Max is well respected at the club and his passion and drive matches that of Tranent FC.”
