PRESTON Lodge High School is toasting another sporting success after its senior boys’ football team claimed the East Lothian League Cup.
The side won a tough encounter with Musselburgh Grammar.
The team is one of the most successful in the school’s history, already claiming six other trophies including the 2020 Scottish Cup.
The school congratulated all of the players involved.
A Preston Lodge spokesperson said: “Many congratulations to our senior boys’ football team, who beat Musselburgh Grammar School in the final of the East Lothian League Cup.
“The boys fought hard throughout the whole game and grabbed the winner in the final 10 minutes.
“Well done to Musselburgh Grammar for being good competitors and allowing some great football to be played.
“The boys are one of our most successful sports teams ever, and certainly the best team we have had in recent years, racking up two league titles, three league cups and, of course, a famous Scottish Cup victory in 2020.
“Many thanks to coach Sam Taylor, and very well done, boys. What a massive contribution you have made to our school!”
