RORY Darge has been called into the Scotland squad for the remaining two games of the Six Nations.
The Glasgow Warriors man suffered a serious ankle injury in September last year and looked to be out for “several months”.
The 23-year-old, who made his Scotland debut in the competition last year, made his comeback for his club side last weekend when they lost 35-24 to Emirates Lions in South Africa.
Darge played 54 minutes in the defeat and was again involved as Glasgow thumped Zebre Parma 50-8 on Friday.
Now, he has been called into Gregor Townsend’s squad alongside Scott Cummings, Stafford McDowall and Simon Berghan.
Josh Bayliss and Grant Gilchrist have dropped out as Scotland get ready to face table-topping Ireland.
The must win clash takes place at BT Murrayfield on Sunday before Scotland welcome Italy the following Saturday.
