COLIN Nish’s Tranent Juniors will look to keep the pressure on Rangers B at the top of the Scottish Lowland Football League tonight (Tuesday).

The Belters travel south to Galashiels to face Gala Fairydean Rovers while their title rivals host Gretna 2008.

Tranent come into the game on the back of a South Region Challenge Cup victory over Linlithgow Rose on Saturday.

In the league, Tranent trail Rangers B by a single point, although the Ibrox side have a game in hand.

However, Rangers, along with Celtic B and Hearts B, are not eligible for the promotion play-off into the Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL).

Tranent and Gala Fairydean Rovers, managed by former Hibs and Livingston midfielder Martin Scott, met at the end of August and the game finished goalless.

Tonight’s fixture kicks off at 7.45pm.
