ALL six of the county’s football teams are again in action this afternoon (Saturday).

Tranent Juniors, Preston Athletic and Ormiston Primrose all have home advantage while Headington head to Midlothian, Musselburgh go to the Borders and Dunbar head to Fife.

The Belters host Rangers B in the Scottish Lowland Football League (SLFL).

Meanwhile, in the top flight of the East of Scotland Football League (EoSFL), Haddington face a tough trip to title challengers Penicuik Athletic and Musselburgh head to Vale of Leithen.

Table-topping Dunbar United travel to Glenrothes while Preston Athletic will welcome Luncarty.

Finally, Ormiston Primrose host Lochgelly Albert.

Matches involving Ormiston and Dunbar kick off at 2pm, with the remaining EoSFL games starting at 2.30pm.

Tranent Juniors versus Rangers B is a 3pm kick-off.

Match of the Day

Ormiston Primrose v Lochgelly Albert

East of Scotland Football League Second Division

Ormiston Primrose last five games: DLLLL

A DRAW with promotion-chasing St Andrews United will have given Ormiston Primrose a real boost.

Richie Weir’s men had gone into that contest on the back of six consecutive defeats but halted that unwanted run.

Matthew Underhill’s second half strike had them in the lead and they will be looking to build on that showing against another team from Fife.

Lochgelly Albert head to New Recreation Park one point behind the East Lothian side.

Three points for either team might be enough to see them move up the table.

Scottish Lowland Football League

Tranent Juniors last five games: WWLWL

BACK-TO-BACK wins for Tranent has helped them move up the Scottish Lowland Football League table.

A 2-0 win at Dalbeattie Star was followed up by a 4-1 win over Edinburgh University in midweek.

Those wins provide a timely confidence boost as they welcome table-topping Rangers B to Foresters Park.

There is sure to be a big crowd and, if Tranent can pick up three points, they would move to within a point of the Ibrox side.

Haddington Athletic last five games: LWLLD

LIFE in the top tier of the EoSFL has proven challenging at times for Haddington Athletic this season.

They face another tough task as they head to Penicuik Athletic, who only missed out on being crowned champions last season on goal difference.

The Midlothian side sit fourth in the standings but have a game in hand over the top three – Linlithgow Rose, Jeanfield Swifts and Crossgates Primrose.

Despite their lofty position, Penicuik have not won a league game since the end of September.

Haddington picked up a 2-1 win over Oakley United last weekend but went down by the same scoreline to Broxburn Athletic in midweek.

A positive result would be most welcome for the Hi Hi.

Vale of Leithen v Musselburgh Athletic

East of Scotland Football League Premier Division

Musselburgh Athletic last five games: LWWWW

A FIRST defeat under Liam Burns last weekend means Musselburgh now need to show their resilience.

Dundonald Bluebell were winners at Olivebank before a midweek clash with Blackburn United was called off.

Instead, they turn attention to a trip to rock bottom Vale of Leithen, who have picked up just three points from a possible 36.

Burns will be keen to see his side bounce back and warn them against complacency.

East Lothian Courier: Dunbar United (black and white) travel to Glenrothes in their quest for promotionDunbar United (black and white) travel to Glenrothes in their quest for promotion

Glenrothes v Dunbar United

East of Scotland Football League First Division

Dunbar United last five games: WLWWW

A LITTLE bit of daylight has been opened up at the top of the EoSFL First Division following Dunbar’s recent points haul.

Victory last weekend over Dunipace means the Seasiders sit three points clear at the top of the standings.

However, such is the competitive nature of the league that only a further three points separates Dunbar from ninth placed Kinnoull.

Glenrothes, who came close to promotion last season, are among those clubs sitting three points adrift of Dunbar.

Kevin Haynes and his team will be out to ensure their promising form continues in Fife.

East Lothian Courier: Preston Athletic's (blue) hope home advantage will help them to three points against LuncartyPreston Athletic's (blue) hope home advantage will help them to three points against Luncarty

Preston Athletic v Luncarty

East of Scotland Football League First Division

Preston Athletic last five games: LLWWW

POSTPONEMENT last Saturday meant Preston Athletic found themselves left on the sidelines.

Paul Currie’s team had been due to face Lochore Welfare but now turn their attention to Luncarty.

Only goal difference separates the two teams in sixth and seventh in the standings.

A win for the home side would be enough to see them move up the table and possibly even into the promotion places.
