There were wins for Tranent Juniors, Haddington Athletic and Dunbar in this weekend’s round of county fixtures as Musselburgh were beaten and Ormiston Primrose were held to a draw.

In the Scottish Lowland League, Tranent Juniors overcame Dalbeattie Star 2-0 away from home. Goals from Ben Miller and Adam McGowan saw them win comfortably.

The win puts them seventh in the table, and they next face an away trip to Edinburgh university tomorrow with kick off at 7.45pm.

In the Premier Division, Haddington Athletic secured a 2-1 home win over Oakley United. A goal from Guy McGarry and a penalty from Shaun Hill were enough to see them take all three points.

The win puts Haddington up to tenth in the table and they next face Broxburn Athletic tomorrow at home.

Musselburgh Athletic were on the receiving end of a 2-1 home defeat at the hands of Dundonald Bluebell in the Premier Division.

The defeat puts them seventh in the table and they face off against Vale of Leithen on Saturday.

In the First Division Dunbar United bounced back from their Scottish Cup heartbreak by beating Dunipace 1-0 at home on Saturday.

A goal from Michael McFarlane with just over ten minutes to play was enough to secure the Dunbar who sit top of the table and face an away game against Glenrothes on Saturday.

Preston Athletic’s game away to Lochore Welfare in the First Division was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch. The county side next face Luncarty at home on Saturday.

In the Second Division, Ormiston Primrose were held to a 1-1 draw at home to St Andrews United on Saturday.

The draw puts them in sixteenth place in the table and they next face an important tie against seventeenth placed Lochgelly Albert on Saturday.
