North Berwick won the East Lothian derby against Haddington and Ross High recorded a win this week in the latest round of rugby fixtures. It was another difficult week for Musselburgh, losing their sixth fixture in a row, while Preston Lodge and Dunbar also suffered defeats.

In the Tennent’s Premiership, Musselburgh lost 17-56 at home to Edinburgh Academical. Musselburgh have now lost six games in a row and are without a win this season. They sit ninth in the table, narrowly ahead of Heriot's Blues Men, who they face next week away from home, thanks to three losing bonus points.

Preston Lodge narrowly lost 21-26 at home to Kirkcaldy in the National League Division 2. The defeat puts them in fourth place and their next fixture is against Dumfries Saints away on Saturday.

North Berwick came out on top 14-31 away to Haddington in the East Region League Division 1. There was a lot to play for with both county sides so close to each other in the table, but it was North Berwick who came out on top. The win puts them top of the league having won all five of their games so far. Meanwhile Haddington sit fourth with two wins from four games.

Haddington next face Linlithgow away from home on Saturday while North Berwick have a free weekend.

Ross High were comfortable winners away to Leith, winning 0-23 in the East Region League Division 1. It’s three wins from three games now for Ross High who sit third in the table and face Duns at home on Saturday.

Dunbar returned to action this weekend and lost 52-40 in an entertaining match away to Dalkeith in the East Region League Division 2. The defeat is Dunbar’s third on the bounce as they sit second bottom in the table. Their next fixture is at home to league leaders Livingston on Saturday.
