There were some excellent performances also in the 800m events.

Both Ronnie Brown and Cristina Elliot qualified for the final the following day. Brown finished third in his heat in a time of 2m07.31s and Elliot finished fourth in 2m30.79s.

Brown ran faster again in the final with a time of 2m04.09s and finished in seventh place – a fantastic result, especially given the small number of track events he has competed in.

Elliot was eighth in the final with a time of 2m43.83s.

Ella Nicholson finished eighth in the 800m heat with a time of 2m43.13s.

It was a fantastic two days of competition from the Team East Lothian athletes, with PBs and medals aplenty to celebrate as the track season nears its close.
