DUNBAR United and Musselburgh Athletic enjoyed victory in the Scottish Cup while Tranent Juniors also picked up three points on Saturday.

A penalty from Darren Smith and a late strike from Shaun Miller ensured it was the Seasiders celebrating against Vale of Leithen at Victoria Park.

They are joined in this afternoon's (Monday) first round draw by Musselburgh Athletic, who knocked out fellow East of Scotland Football League Premier Division side Penicuik Athletic.

Jordan Smith's second half penalty was all that separated the two sides as Musselburgh hope for their first-ever home tie in the Scottish Cup.

There was, however, disappointed for Haddington Athletic and Preston Athletic.

The Hi Hi led 1-0 against Darvel at the break through Ross King's strike but the West of Scotland Football League champions bounced back with second half goals from Ian McShane, Lewis Morrison and Allan MacKenzie.

Preston also had home advantage but a late goal saw Newton Stewart celebrating a memorable away win.

Elsewhere, Ormiston Primrose were knocked out of the Alex Jack Cup as they suffered a 1-0 home defeat to Lochore Welfare.

In league action, Tranent Juniors were 2-0 winners at Bo'ness United, thanks to goals from Jamie Docherty and Martin Maughan.
