NEW Musselburgh head coach Derek O’Riordan will begin the season away at defending league-cup champions Marr.

The new campaign kicks off on August 27 and the Stoneyhill team face a tough opening fixture in Ayrshire.

O’Riordan, who was appointed as successor to Graeme Paterson, is joined at the helm by former captain Andrew Clark, who had been involved with the second XV.

Musselburgh’s first home contest comes a week later when they host last season’s runners-up, Currie Chieftains.

National League Division Two also kicks off on September 3 as Preston Lodge face off against Boroughmuir.

Mark Steedman’s men then host Falkirk seven days later.

Meanwhile, East League Division One has three East Lothian teams, with promoted North Berwick joining Haddington and Ross High.

Ross High have home advantage on September 3 when they host Linlithgow.

Meanwhile, Haddington travel to Leith and North Berwick are away at Portobello.

On September 10, North Berwick host Leith, while Haddington welcome Duns.

Ross High face their first away trip of the campaign as they head to Edinburgh to play Broughton.

Finally, Dunbar begin their East League Division Two campaign with a home tie against Inverleith on September 3.

Seven days later, they travel to Langholm.
