MUSSELBURGH Windsor under-17s are celebrating winning their league.

With one game still to go, the players, most of whom have been together for 11 years, are top of the SERYFA (South East Region Youth Football Association) Second Division after victory in Saturday’s title-clincher against Edinburgh South at the Jack Kane Centre.

Windsor (pictured) won 2-1 against the Edinburgh side, with Arron MacDonald scoring both goals.

Speaking last week, a club spokesman said: “It’s been a successful season as we also reached a cup final but unfortunately we lost.

“The current group of boys is the best we have had since starting and we are looking to continue this when we move into our last season in 2022/23 as the boys move up to under-18s.

"Our Player of the Year awards are next Friday and we will have the league trophy with us that night.”
