TRANENT Juniors could wrap up their memorable season in style by securing a league and cup double.
The Belters already have Scottish Lowland Football League action to look forward to next season after last weekend’s win over Darvel.
However, they could add to their trophy cabinet when they face Linlithgow Rose in the League Cup Final today (Sunday).
The final game of the East of Scotland Football League (EoSFL) season kicks off at 1pm at Newtongrange Star’s New Victoria Park.
Tranent come into the game as favourites on the back of winning the league but will face a tough encounter against a Linlithgow side who finished third in the Premier Division table.
The West Lothian outfit remained in the title hunt until the last few weeks of the season.
Those last few weeks saw Tranent and Linlithgow do battle twice within the space of 14 days.
On both occasions, Tranent had to dig deep to secure draws, which ultimately proved vital as they won the league on goal difference ahead of Penicuik Athletic.
The first encounter at Foresters Park finished 2-2 before Tranent again came back to secure a 3-3 draw in Linlithgow.
