NINETY minutes separate Tranent Juniors from the Scottish Lowland Football League (SLFL).

The Belters travel to Darvel in the final game of the three-way play-off between the winners of the East of Scotland Football League (EoSFL), West of Scotland Football League (WoSFL) and the South of Scotland Football League (SoSFL).

Elsewhere, Preston Athletic go into the final game of the season against Lochgelly Albert with an outside chance of winning First Division Conference B.

Haddington Athletic and Ormiston are both in action in First Division Conference A.

League champions Haddington travel to Leith Athletic, who finished as runners-up, while Ormiston are also on their travels, facing Kennoway Star Hearts.

Match of the day

Darvel v Tranent Juniors

Tranent Juniors last five games: WWWDW

UNDOUBTEDLY one of the biggest games in the history of Tranent Juniors takes place at Recreation Park.

Calum Elliot’s men will face Darvel, with the winners sealing a place in the SLFL.

Tranent were 7-0 winners against SoSFL champions St Cuthbert Wanderers last weekend while Darvel defeated the Kirkcudbright team 3-1 on Wednesday.

It means it is winner takes all in East Ayrshire.

Darvel beat Auchinleck Talbot to the WoSFL Premier Division title and boast a team full of Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL) experience.

However, in a one-off game, anything can happen and Tranent will be backed by a vocal travelling support.

Kick off is at 2pm.

Kennoway Star Hearts v Ormiston

Ormiston’s last five games: LWLDL

WHILE many teams may have little to play for on the final day of the season both Kennoway Star Hearts and Ormiston will be out for a win.

The Fife hosts sit one point behind Coldstream in the race for a top seven spot and a place in the EoSFL First Division next season.

Meanwhile, Ormiston already know they will be playing in the Second Division but can avoid bottom spot if they spring a surprise.

Ormiston lost 5-1 to Kirkcaldy and Dysart on Wednesday evening but will be keen to get three points to move above Craigroyston.

Kennoway Star Hearts were 3-0 winners in East Lothian at the end of July.

The game kicks off at 2.30pm.

First Division Conference A

Leith Athletic v Haddington Athletic

Haddington Athletic’s last five games: WWLWW

FOR much of the season, Leith Athletic and Haddington Athletic went head to head at the top of First Division Conference A.

Eventually, it was Haddington who timed the sprint finish to perfection as they wrapped up the title and promotion to the Premier Division.

That means there is no winner-takes-all meeting at Peffermill but both teams will still be looking to finish the campaign with a victory.

Leith Athletic are the only side to inflict defeat on Scott Bonar’s men in the league, although Haddington have twice knocked their rivals out of cups.

It has been a season to remember for both clubs and the kick-off for the final game is at 3pm.

First Division Conference B

Preston Athletic v Lochgelly Albert

Preston Athletic’s last five games: WLLWD

JACK Lynch’s Preston Athletic head into the final game of the season looking for “divine intervention” in their bid to be crowned First Division Conference B champions.

League leaders Oakley United sit one point above their rivals and head to Edinburgh South knowing that only a win will guarantee that they lift the title.

Any slip up could open the door to either Glenrothes or Preston Athletic, with both sides tied on 60 points.

However, Glenrothes boast a goal difference which is 12 better than the East Lothian side and travel to second bottom Newburgh Juniors buoyed by a 10-0 thumping of Easthouses Lily.

Preston were 5-0 winners over Lochgelly Albert earlier in the season and will be looking to pick up three points and hope both Oakley United and Glenrothes fail to win.

The game at the Pennypit kicks off at 2.30pm.
