TRANENT Juniors and Haddington Athletic both have midweek fixtures to contend with over the next two days.
The Belters will be looking to maintain – or possibly extend – their advantage at the top of the East of Scotland Football League (EoSFL) Premier Division this evening (Tuesday).
Meanwhile, Haddington have a home tie with Kinnoull in the East of Scotland Qualifying Cup tomorrow (Wednesday).
Both games kick off at 7.30pm.
Premier Division
Sauchie Juniors v Tranent Juniors
Tranent Juniors’ last five games: DWWWD
KRIS Renton’s first half strike was enough to help Tranent Juniors to move to the top of the Premier Division table on Saturday.
Calum Elliot’s men and Penicuik Athletic are locked together on 63 points, with Linlithgow Rose just one point further back.
The West Lothian men have played a game more than the table toppers but have yet to play Tranent and have a last day showdown with Penicuik as well.
Tranent will be hoping to put breathing space between themselves and Linlithgow as they travel to Sauchie tonight, while Penicuik head to Hill of Beath Hawthorn.
However, it will be far from easy for Tranent, who are up against a Sauchie side who have been in stunning form in recent weeks.
Sauchie have won 12 of their last 13 games and defeated Musselburgh Athletic at the weekend.
East of Scotland Qualifying Cup Fifth Round
Haddington Athletic v Kinnoull
Haddington Athletic’s last five games: WWWWD
A 7-0 TRIUMPH away to Dalkeith Thistle on Saturday ensured Haddington Athletic top First Division Conference A with five games to play.
The Hi Hi now have a three-point advantage over second placed Leith Athletic and have a superior goal difference as well.
Tomorrow, they will turn their attention to the East of Scotland Qualifying Cup and a home tie with Kinnoull.
The Perth side sit in mid-table in First Division Conference B but will be out to cause a surprise at Millfield.
They boast 11 wins from 19 encounters and will return to East Lothian next week when they take on Preston Athletic.
