NEW Scotland international Rory Darge has signed a long-term contract with Glasgow Warriors – less than a year after joining the club.

The former North Berwick High School pupil made the move from east to west as he swapped Edinburgh for Glasgow last April.

Since then, a number of outstanding performances have made him one of the most talked-about players in northern hemisphere rugby in the last 12 months.

The North Berwick RFC product has been a mainstay ever since arriving at the Warriors, making 15 appearances to date for Danny Wilson’s side and becoming a firm fan favourite through the work ethic that has been present throughout his rise from grassroots to the professional arena.

Darge, of Aberlady, made his Scotland debut against Wales last month in the Six Nations and followed it up with a try against France on his first start for his country.

“The last year has gone by so quickly,” Darge told glasgowwarriors.org

“From my debut for Glasgow, to my first URC game, to my first European game and now to my Scotland debut, it’s been unbelievable.”
