HADDINGTON Athletic and Preston Athletic picked up narrow victories on Saturday.
The county duo were the only East Lothian teams in action after games involving Ormiston, Dunbar United and Tranent Juniors were postponed.
Musselburgh Athletic were already the odd team out in their League Cup group of five.
Shaun Hill’s second half penalty was enough for Haddington to beat Lochgelly Albert.
Meanwhile, Preston got their First Division Conference B title challenge back on the right track with victory away to Edinburgh South.
Marc Malloy opened the scoring for Preston in Dalkeith but it took a penalty from Mikey Hamilton to secure all three points.
Victory moves Jack Lynch’s team to within six points of league leaders Oakley United and they still have four games in hand.
