JOSH Taylor makes the first defence of his four world titles tonight (Saturday) against Jack Catterall.

The two boxers were due to face each other in December but the fight was delayed due to Taylor suffering a knee injury.

Now, they will headline the card in Glasgow’s OVO Hydro.

Ahead of the fight, we look at the tale of the tape.

What are they fighting for?

Taylor, originally of Prestonpans, is the undisputed world light-welterweight champion.

In May last year, he defeated Jose Carlos Ramirez in Las Vegas to win the WBO and WBC light-welterweight crowns.

That came after he defeated Ivan Baranchyk to lift the IBF light-welterweight championship and become world champion for the first time.

He would go on to add the WBA light-welterweight title with victory over Regis Prograis.

All four titles – and The Ring light-welterweight belt – will be up for grabs tonight.

Who is Josh Taylor?

Thirty-one-year-old Taylor comes into the bout with a flawless record since turning professional.

The former Commonwealth Games gold medallist left the amateur ranks behind and turned professional in July 2015.

Since stopping Archie Weah in Texas, he has gone on to win each of his 18 bouts.

Thirteen of those fights have been over within the distance.

Defeating Ramirez means Taylor is one of only six men to have unified a division in the four belt era, as well as the first British boxer to ever achieve the feat.

What have they said?

Taylor:

“I still want to do things in the sport.

“I want to achieve more in the sport.

“If I am not successful in 10 days’ time then it puts a major speed bump in the way of achieving those goals in quick time; in the quickest time possible.

“It sets me back a little bit and I have to make sure I do well and put on a stellar performance.

“I need to bring my A-game to get the win.

“I have got what everybody else wants – all the belts.

“Everybody wants to come take them away and I have a massive target on my back and green light on my head.

“Everybody wants to take that away and I have got to do my job to make sure they are not successful.”

Catterall:

“I’ve been mandatory for the WBO title.

“After waiting two years, I’ve got a chance now to capture the undisputed.

“I’ve not just come up here to make up the numbers.

“I’ve been waiting two years for this opportunity.”

“I think the respect has been there.

“Me and Josh know once the bell goes, the respect is out of the window.

“We can shake hands after. We’re going to punch each other’s heads in and that’s in.”
