THE Scotland women’s rugby team’s bid to reach a first Rugby World Cup in more than a decade will be determined next month.
Scotland are one of four countries at the final qualification tournament, played in the United Arab Emirates.
Originally, the tournament, which also features Samoa, Colombia and the winner of Hong Kong versus Kazakhstan, was due to be played between February 18 and 24.
Now, the dates have been changed, with Scotland facing Colombia on February 19 before Samoa take on either Hong Kong or Kazakhstan later in the day.
A third/fourth-place play-off will be contested on February 25 before the final is played later that day.
East Lothian’s Megan Gaffney, Annabel Sergeant and Liz Musgrove will all be hoping to help Scotland reach the Rugby World Cup for the first time since 2010.
