A TRIO of top-performing golfers at the Scottish Open will seal their spot at The 150th Open.

Golfers from across the world will head to The Renaissance Club from July 7 to 10, just a week before the Major championship at St Andrews.

Three places at the Major will be up for grabs for the leading three players, not otherwise exempt, who finish in the top 10.

A minimum of 46 places in The Open are available through The Open Qualifying Series, which provides golfers with opportunities to qualify at events around the world.

The Genesis Scottish Open is being played at The Renaissance Club for the fourth year in a row. Earlier this year, Min Woo Lee won the competition following a play-off.
