DUNBAR United are 90 minutes away from reaching the third round of the Scottish Cup for the first time.

The East Lothian side travel into the capital today (Saturday) to face Lothian Thistle Hutchison Vale in the competition.

The two sides shared a 1-1 draw at New Countess Park last weekend and the victors of the replay have a home tie against Edinburgh City awaiting them in the next round.

Elsewhere, East Lothian’s teams turns their attention to league action.

Tranent Juniors, who will face Stirling Albion in the third round of the Scottish Cup, are looking to keep the pressure on Penicuik Athletic at the top of the Premier Division.

One point separates the two teams, although Penicuik also have a game in hand over their rivals.

Tranent welcome Inverkeithing Hillfield Swifts to Foresters Park today while Penicuik host Blackburn United.

Elsewhere, Musselburgh Athletic, who defeated Kennoway Star Hearts in the East of Scotland Qualifying Cup last weekend, also have home advantage.

Broxburn Athletic are the visitors to Olivebank and the two sides are locked together on points, with the West Lothian side one place above them on goal difference.

In First Division Conference A, Haddington Athletic and Ormiston are both in action.

League leaders Haddington welcome Thornton Hibs to Millfield.

Scott Bonar’s men are three points clear of Leith Athletic and Kennoway Star Hearts, who face each other this weekend.

Haddington go into the game having dropped just two points from a possible 33.

Ormiston make the short trip to Arniston Rangers in a battle near the bottom of the table.

The East Lothian side would leapfrog their opponents with victory and could also move above Craigroyston.

Finally, in First Division Conference B, Preston Athletic are back in league action after losing out to Auchinleck Talbot in the Scottish Cup.

Jack Lynch’s men sit third in the table – one point behind league leaders Glenrothes and Heriot Watt University.

However, both of those teams have played more games than Preston, who face Luncarty.

All of the East of Scotland Football League games kick off at 2.30pm, with Dunbar's Scottish Cup clash getting underway at 3pm.
