RORY Darge could make his Scotland debut at the end of the month.

The talented back row has been named in head coach Gregor Townsend’s 36-man two-day training camp ahead of the first game of the 2021 Autumn Nations Series.

Darge, from Aberlady, was called up for the Scotland summer squad, alongside Gullane’s Callum Hunter-Hill, which was unable to play its three intended matches due to the coronavirus.

Now, Darge, who plays his club rugby for Glasgow Warriors, is looking to seize his second chance after man of the match performances in the opening rounds of the United Rugby Championship campaign.

The training squad takes place on Sunday and Monday at Oriam High Performance Centre, just outside Edinburgh.

Scotland begin their four-match series at BT Murrayfield against Tonga on October 30 before facing Australia on November 7.

Reigning Rugby World Cup holders South Africa are the visitors to the capital on November 13 before Japan round off the series seven days later.
