MUSSELBURGH Athletic, Preston Athletic and Dunbar United will begin the Road to Hampden in the preliminary round of the Scottish Cup.
The draw for this year’s tournament took place at lunch time today (Thursday), with Haddington Athletic and Tranent Juniors receiving a bye to the first round.
The remaining three East Lothian teams in the competition will all be looking to join them but must first overcome the preliminary round.
Musselburgh Athletic’s wait for a first-ever home tie in the competition goes on as they have been drawn away to Irvine Meadow.
Meanwhile, Preston Athletic and Dunbar United both have home advantage.
Threave Rovers will return to the Pennypit having won 2-1 there in September 2014.
Finally, Dunbar United’s debut in the competition will see fellow East of Scotland Football League side Broxburn Athletic visit New Countess Park.
The preliminary round ties are due to be played on August 28.
