THREE second half goals helped Tranent Juniors win the top of the table clash with Lothian Thistle Hutchison Vale.

Two points separated the two teams going into today's (Saturday) clash at Foresters Park.

A first half penalty from Ben Miller put the Belters in front at the break.

Further strikes from Kyle Lander, Kayne Paterson and Adam Watson gave the hosts all three points in a 4-1 win to keep them top of the table and undefeated in the opening nine games.

Meanwhile, also in the East of Scotland Football League (EOSFL) Premier Division, it was Musselburgh Athletic who took derby bragging rights against Dunbar United.

The Seasiders had opened the scoring through Darren McTernan but the lead lasted just four minutes as Conor Thomson levelled things up.

Declan O'Kane, captain on the day for Musselburgh, put his side in front and prolific striker Matti King scored late on to make it 3-1.

Tranent Juniors are not the only East Lothian team still undefeated though.

East Lothian Courier:

At Millfield, Haddington Athletic were 4-0 winners against Tweedmouth Rangers.

Former Livingston youngster Gabri Auriemma was the main man as he bagged a hat-trick, with Gordon Harris also firing home from the penalty spot.

The result was enough to keep Joe Hamill's men top of the pile in the First Division Conference A.

There was not such good news for Ormiston, who travelled to Coldstream, with the hosts emerging 3-0 winners.

Finally, in First Division Conference B, Preston Athletic made the trip to Heriot-Watt University.

It was the Capital side who picked up all three points with a 2-0 triumph.
