REIGNING world champions Alex Marshall and Paul Foster are one match away from retaining their title.

The champions, who have won the World Indoor Bowls Pairs title four times together, will face off against familiar foes Greg Harlow and Nick Brett on Monday.

The match, which is televised live on BBC 2, gets under way at 1pm.

Marshall, from Tranent, also remains in the hunt for the singles title after coming through the first round yesterday (Tuesday) evening.

The number 12 seed defeated the United States' Lawrence Quill 10-3, 11-3 and will now face England's Les Gillett on Tuesday.

Looking to join him in the last 16 is fellow East Lothian bowler John McCrorie, who will be looking to cause an upset when he faces number four seed David Gourlay today (Wednesday).
