IT WAS a mixed weekend for the county's senior football and rugby sides in league action, with six victories posted.
In Conference A of the East of Scotland League, Dunbar United were beaten by a single goal at home to Hill of Beath.
There was better news for Musselburgh Athletic, who were 2-1 winners at Oakley United.
The county sides in Conference B enjoyed a winning weekend, with Tranent 4-1 winners at Dunipace; while Haddington Athletic won by a single goal at Lothian Thistle Hutchison Vale.
Meanwhile, Ormiston (pictured above) were thrashed at home 11-1 by Linlithgow Rose in Conference C, where Preston Athletic were also heavily beaten, 4-1 at the hands of Broxburn.
RUGBY
And there was a 50 per cent winning return for the county's six rugby clubs, with Musselburgh, Ross High and Dunbar celebrating victories.
Burgh won a 102-point thriller against Gala at Netherdale in National 1; Ross High (pictured below) saw off Portobello in East 1 and Dunbar hit a half century in their home win over Corstorphine.
Elsewhere, Preston Lodge lost a tight encounter at Stewart's Melville; Haddington's wait for a league win continues after defeat to West of Scotland and North Berwick were beaten in Linlithgow.
